Portrait of William López, BuildWithin

President & Co-Founder

William López

William López leads BuildWithin, an employment services technology company and U.S. Department of Labor National Apprenticeship Intermediary. Under his leadership, BuildWithin has grown into a national platform that government agencies, workforce boards, and employers use to match individuals to jobs, manage registered apprenticeships, and replace fragmented systems with a single system of record.

A lifelong resident of the DC region, William grew up in Arlington, Virginia and graduated from Marymount University. He was a founding team member of Phone2Action (later Capitol Canary), the Arlington-founded advocacy technology company that scaled nationally before its acquisition. At BuildWithin, he previously served as Chief Revenue Officer, where he built the company's government and enterprise business.

William serves on the executive committee of the Alexandria/Arlington Regional Workforce Council, the body that oversees federally funded workforce programs across the region, and on the Career and Technical Education (CTE) advisory committee for Arlington Public Schools, helping shape the career pathways available to local students.
