As part of a federally funded initiative, we’re launching Apprenticeship Innovation Districts across the country. Northern Virginia/Maryland is one of five selected regions—and we’re looking for a bold, collaborative leader to take the helm.

• Bridge training and industry.
  You’ll ensure apprenticeship and pre-apprenticeship programs are aligned to labor market demand and industry standards across DC, Maryland, and Virginia.
• Use data to drive results.
  You’ll use the BuildWithin platform to monitor progress, track milestones, and ensure apprentices are completing training and competencies on schedule.
• Take action when it matters.
  ‍You’ll intervene early when apprentices are falling behind—using data insights to trigger timely support, coaching, and adjustments to keep them on track.
• Conduct labor market and skills mapping.
  You’ll analyze trends and identify roles that are high-demand and apprenticeship-ready, guiding regional strategy and program focus.
• Build strong employer relationships.
  You’ll secure placements for apprentices and work closely with employers to align expectations, training, and support.
• Deliver meaningful onboarding.
  You’ll lead training sessions for apprentices that prepare them for workplace success—professional communication, digital fluency, time management, and more.
• Guide jobseekers through transition.
  You’ll support adult learners and career switchers in navigating workforce entry
• Act as technical leader for the hub.
  You’ll support employers, partners, and government agencies as they collaborate to transform workforce development in the era of AI.
