Jennifer Gannon

Jennifer Gannon began her career in DC government, working across DC Public Schools, DC Parks and Recreation, and the Executive Office of the Mayor. She knows the District's public systems from the inside because she helped run them.

For the past 15 years, Jennifer has worked as an operations executive building the program and organizational infrastructure behind complex, high-stakes initiatives. As a member of BuildWithin's executive leadership team, she oversees business operations and information systems, bringing PMP-certified program management discipline to cross-functional work spanning finance, vendor and procurement management, IT, and regulatory compliance.

Jennifer has built information security and governance programs from the ground up, achieving SOC 2 Type II certification at two organizations. That work met the institutional and security requirements needed to secure enterprise and government contracts. She has also guided organizations through their highest-stakes transitions, including private equity acquisition, post-merger integration, and full C-suite turnover, ensuring continuity and delivery through periods of major change.

She holds both a PMP and a CISSP, a rare pairing of formal program management discipline and deep security and risk expertise, along with a B.A. in History from the University of Maryland and an M.A. in American Studies from the University of Massachusetts Boston.
